Our 16 year old, Ellen, was blessed with her mother’s gift of design & is an excellent seamstress. She added a line of children’s clothing & will one day be able to run the business by herself.
Hannah (13) & Sarah (10) both are becoming very adept in the sewing room as well & will likely be adding to the product line/ taking part in the business at some point.
Our oldest, Emily(20), is a very gifted writer, great cook, & dillegent worker around the house with a tireless desire to serve God by serving her family & the many guests we bring through here every week. However, she has never quite found her niche’ in the “Handmade Diaper Bags, Accessories & Adodable Children’s Clothing” operation.
So, last week, Christy (her mother) helped her launch a new venture – “The Chocolate Biscuit Bakery”.
The original idea was to offer these “wow!” deserts to folks who were too busy for holiday baking/ or who never learned to bake/ or wanted to give them as gifts. But the products will be available year round & I’m sure the menu will be expanded & diversified as time goes on.
